Ana Paula Merheb, DPT, BScPT

Ana Merheb, founder of AlignCore Physio & Wellness, is a Registered Physiotherapist in Calgary with over 15 years of experience helping patients restore mobility, manage pain, and regain confidence. She created AlignCore to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that addresses the root cause of movement dysfunction, promotes long-term wellness, and supports patients through in-clinic and in-home physiotherapy services, making high-quality, personalized treatment accessible and convenient at every stage of recovery.

Her practice focuses on pelvic /women’s health physiotherapy, complemented by expertise in musculoskeletal , orthopaedic and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation. Ana has worked in both clinical and home care settings, gaining a comprehensive understanding of patient needs across all stages of recovery and wellness.

Ana earned her BScPT in Brazil, completed postgraduate training in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, and after moving to Canada completed the Physical Therapy Bridging Certificate Program at the University of Alberta. In 2025, she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Certificate in Rehabilitation Administration from the University of Montana. She has also pursued extensive Pelvic health training across Brazil, Canada, and the United States.

She treats a wide range of conditions, including urinary incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, arthritis, chronic pain, and post-operative rehabilitation following total hip and knee replacements and shoulder surgery. Ana is passionate about seniors’ health and independence, offering programs to maintain strength, balance, and mobility, with a focus on fall prevention and Parkinson’s rehabilitation.

Her approach is deeply patient-centered — she listens to each person’s goals and designs tailored treatment plans integrating manual therapy, customized exercise, and education. Ana believes that movement is medicine and is dedicated to helping every patient unlock their physical potential and improve quality of life.

Outside her practice, Ana enjoys exploring the outdoors with her family, especially through road trips and nature adventures.
